LATE AVTAR SINGH DHINGRA

Avtar Singh Dhingra, one of the founder members of FANS firmly believed in secularism. He was of the opinion that it was amity and not animosity that kept the nation together.

A successful entrepreneur, Mr. Dhingra was a pioneer in the manufacture of optical instruments with Japanese collaboration. He knew the Japanese language and devoted a lot of time in studying their literature and culture. He imbibed the best of Hindu, Sikh and Japanese culture. He was a man of letters. His personal life was an embodiment of national integration.

His approach to the values of amity and the commitment to universal brotherhood was the ideal behind the Foundation for Amity and National Solidarity.

LATE P.L. JOSEPH

Mr. P. L. Joseph, one of the Founder members of FANS, was committed to the cause of national integration and communal harmony.

As Founder-Chairman of the YMCA Institute of Management Studies, Delhi, Mr. Joseph traveled widely in India and abroad. A keen communicator, he loved to talk on issues close to his heart and communal harmony was one of them.

Though Christian by birth, but had deep knowledge of all the religions of India. He celebrated all the major festivals of India by inviting people from different faiths. His Christmas celebrations were a high mark of the festivities wherein he invited important people from different faiths and had interactive sessions. His contribution to the success of FANS is deeply appreciated.

AIMADUDDIN AHMAD KHAN

Nawabzada Aimaduddin Ahmad Khan popularly known as Durrumian belongs to the State of Rajasthan A progressive and open minded person, he has held several high ranking positions as M.P. Rajya Sabha and Chairman, Rajasthan Minority Board and is currently Minister, Medical & Health Family Welfare, Ayurved and Medical Education, Government of Rajasthan.

A life member of the Indian Heritage Society, Durrumian is deeply involved in social and political work. He firmly believes in the cultural strength of the country and works relentlessly for the promotion of amity and national solidarity. He has been guiding the activities of FANS for the past more than 2 decades. He organized a number of functions under the aegis of FANS to propagate the message of Amity and Brotherhood.
