Virendar Mohan Trehan is the moving spirit behind the Foundation for Amity and National Solidarity.

An entrepreneur with a difference, he belongs to a new generation of entrepreneurs - a rather rare breed-who would put the country and ideals before business and the self.

A self-made man, he is passionately committed to secular and progressive ethos. Fiercely patriotic, he firmly believes that India's greatest strength is its unity in diversity.

As the Founder-President of the Foundation for Amity and National Solidarity, he has carried the message of peace, harmony, togetherness and amity throughout the country with the sole objective of making India a worth while place to live in for every Indian irrespective of his caste, creed or religious labels. His message “be Indian in spirit and deeds” has also found a ready echo in the USA among overseas Indians whom he had addressed on a number of occasions.

Mr. Trehan reflects the spirit of a True Indian. For him, secularism is the corner stone of Indian polity and culture. The Foundation under his leadership has organized numerous functions involving all strata of society with the sole aim of spreading Harmony and Brotherhood. He has been conferred with many prestigious awards for his services to the society. For him, the Quest for harmony continues.
