Conclusions
- India's National language policy was never formulated on the principles of federalism.
- Hindi in Devnagari Script has been chosen as the National Language. However, there have been protests particularly in the Southern States against the imposition of Hindi. All out efforts be made to propagate the National language in all parts of country and people be motivated to learn the language.
- Communalism, Regionalism, different languages, poverty and big gap between haves and have nots are major blockades in the way of National Integration.
- Communication is essential for Integrating minds. This can only be achieved if we have a common language to communicate.
- All states should get together and formulate national integration strategies where national language can play an important role.
- It is the fundamental human right to choose whatever language one wants to speak. And what language can be better than mother tongue.
- If Hindi is not accepted as a National language, then how come our National Anthem is in Hindi and not in any other language.
- We should show respect to other languages which helps to unite the people who speak different languages.
