Conclusions
- Necessary pre-requisites of a modern State are -Gender Equality, Political Equality, Religion and Economic Equality.
- Social reforms have not come to all Indian communities at the same pace. There are huge discrepancies in the way - some communities have acquired social awareness and moved forward.
- Discrimination abound based on Caste, Creed and Class.
- For all round progress and development, we will have to shed antiquated ideas of caste and communal prejudices.
- We have to ensure right to economic justice for all, and equitable distribution of wealth, depending on merits.
- Expansion of employment opportunities and family planning programmes should be high on the Agenda of Governance. Increase in population is negating the economic progress.
- Lack of awareness and education, communalism, narrow interests are hampering the cause of social justice.
- Social and cultural organizations to join hands and check tendencies of separatism and fragmentation etc.
