Conclusions
- Delink Religion from Politics.
- Religion is a personal affair to be practiced at ones home or place of worship. It should not influence political decision making. Religion should never be allowed to be politicized. Currently a dangerous trend is being set where some political parties are using religion for their political ends.
- Find ways and means to Delink Crime from Politics by laying down minimum qualification of contesting in the elections, discourage independents from contesting elections. Every MP should be a part of a Political party and the Party should be responsible for his deeds.
- Recently a number of candidates with criminal background have been fielded by various political parties. This trend is seen more in regional and smaller parties. If criminalisation of politics is to be stopped then we need to ensure that no individual with criminal background would be allowed to contest.
